Weekly Bio Roller Coaster: Biotechnology stocks in general closed down the week ending 4/13/2012 in line with several major stock market indices. The BioBizNet Select Index (BBNSI comprised of ABT through REGN) decreased 2.43% for the week while the AMEX Biotechnology Index (BTK) gave up 5.72%. In comparison, for the week, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ending down 1.6%, the S&P 500 decreased 2%, while the NASDAQ Composite slid 2.2%.
